Branford Sewage Pump Out Boat
The health district and the town of Branford are
committed to improving the quality of its coastal waters. ESDHD
administers a Federal grant through the CT DEP to operate a sewage
pump out boat. This project is a partnership between the Town of
Branford, the health district, and the Branford River Project. Many
hours are donated by each organization to make the project
successful. Bruce and Johnson’s Marina donates a slip space and
discharge station for the boat.
The boat quickly pumps waste from recreational boat holding tanks
and properly disposes of it in Branford’s sanitary sewer system.
Tens of thousands of gallons or waste are pumped each year, thus
contributing to the improvement of the water quality of our
coastline.

free service.
